Zoo Disaster Rescue, Response & Recovery (ZDR3) – one of our field response partners – has an urgent need for financial support. In the wake of Hurricane Ian, ZDR3 has worked tirelessly to support the care and welfare needs of zoos and aquariums across Florida. They were able to help 10 facilities secure their animals, provide drinkable water, and obtain enough food so that hundreds of sensitive and endangered animals did not have to be relocated. Although landfall was nearly 2 weeks ago, ZDR3 continues to receive requests for assistance. Some facilities are nearing a breaking point. Funds are running low, yet ZDR3’s work is far from done. Please help us to support their efforts.

The High Alert Institute, Inc. is asking our loyal supporters to help ZDR3 continue to sustain the zoos and aquariums of Florida. We have set a goal of $5,000 for this special collection for ZDR3. If just 100 of our supporters donate $50 each, together we will make a significant impact. But if 500 of our supporters donate, then ZDR3 will be able to complete their immediate goals and keep all animals safe in the homes familiar to them.
Together We are Stronger.
